Customer Reviews

Amazon is great... Adorama is absolutely not... I should have known from my last order several years ago from them (which they ended up giving me a refund for a different color camera than pictured - they first tried to get me to keep it). I purchased these glasses from a direct link from here to Adorama's site. Order came quickly enough, but they stress on their site and here that they are " black in color", don't believe it..... As soon as I opened the package and saw the invoice (that does not say black) and then saw the packaging which has orange and white glasses pictured on the packaging, it was pretty obvious. For 20 bucks I don't want to go through the expense of dealing with the return from these NYC camera type stores. If you don't mind orange and white glasses and being slightly deceived than you are ok. At least the ones Amazon sells themselves notes the possibility of random colors, which is at least being honest.... The orange and white ones look ridiculous on and you may be distracted while watching a movie because of the bright glass rims. Why LG even put out such goofy colors is anyone's guess. If you want go to Adorama's site and see for yourself, all of their Cinema 3d glasses listed are black, and make sure they say so. That is not the case when you actually receive them and is utterly dishonest. Bait and Switch pure and simple. They must have gotten these colors on the cheap and then list them here and on their site as black so a sucker like me thinks I am getting black. Beware. I hope Amazon chooses not to deal with these guys going forward.

I have several of these to go with my LG Infinia 55LW5600. They're identical to the freebies that came with the TV, which is a bit disappointing, to be honest.
While the glasses are lightweight, it's not a measure of superior design or materials. The plastic frames are of lesser quality than Real3D glasses you'd get if you were going to a theater (I kept a pair recently, to do a side-by-side). The lenses also aren't "lenses". They're just plastic gels that scratch if you look at them the wrong way, and need to be babied when you store them.
Perhaps more disappointing, is the design of the frames. Because they're almost perfectly flat, the "lenses" reflect any back light present in your peripheral vision. If you're not in a completely dark room, they get annoying pretty quickly.
All things being equal, you're probably better off taking someone to see a 3D matinee at your local theater, and keeping the Real3D glasses instead of tossing them in the recycling bin. The cost will be about the same, and the glasses will be slightly better than these.
